Design Rates
Our standard rate for design, project coordination, website maintenance or education is $35/hr. Design is just one of the costs involved in any publication project. When developing your project budget, please consider the following:
Websites:
- Design & development (this may include a web designer, developer, and graphic artist)
- Domain name registration (purchasing a URL, such as www.mysite.com)
- Website hosting (renting space on a server to store your site's files; gives your site's users around the clock access)
- Stock photography and illustrations (if you don't already have your own image library)
- Website editing software & internet connection (if you plan to manage the site yourself)
- Fees for ongoing website management (if you do not plan to manage the site yourself)
Print publications:
- Design (may include a desktop publisher and graphic artist)
- Printing (involves cost to print and any additional costs for special papers, inks, and colors)
We can coordinate all of the pieces of your project (see above) and will guide you through to completion. We can assist you with all choices you may have: choosing a web hosting company, deciding whether to purchase stock photography or use your own images, or determining whether to pay for an online shopping cart program or work with a software developer. Generally, a static site with GVD will cost between $500 and $1,000, depending on number of pages, number of images, complexity, whether it is a redesign or a new site, whether a logo needs to be created, etc. A dynamic site will range from $1,500 on up.
